Edward "Steel" Rush

SteelEdward Rush is the founder, and co-owner of ThirdPower Fitness. Mr. Rush has been a personal trainer, boxer, and martial artist for the last twenty years. He is a gifted sports performance specialist, who was recognized in 1998 by Women's Sport & Fitness magazine for teaching one of the best group fitness classes in America. Mr. Rush is certified as a club coach by USA weightlifting. In addition, he holds many other fitness certifications including certifications in the use of Kettlebells, and in the use of Jump Stretch bands for fitness conditioning and rehabilitation. While he has been based primarily in NYC, and Washington, DC, Mr. Rush has also trained clients in Paris, and Tokyo. Mr. Rush is the creator of the StreetBoxing™ self defense program, the Class Warfare™ fight conditioning methodology and the Variable Anaerobic Stack Training System™ Mr. Rush is a non practicing attorney who holds a BA in Political Economy from Long Island University, and a law degree from Howard University School of Law.

 

Julia Lundeen

Julia is co-owner of ThirdPower Fitness, and has been with ThirdPower Fitness from it's inception. She has been a full partner in creating the ThirdPower Fitness Life Performance concept, and brand. Ms. Lundeen has been a personal trainer for 12 years. She is licensed in Pilates, Spin and efi Gravity. Julia has been recognized throughout the fitness industry for her peerless core training techniques. ( ps: Check out her Obstacle Course abs training program, your stomach will never be the same. ) Ms. Lundeen also does extensive work with special needs clients, such as persons with MS, those who are rehabilitating, and both pre and post natal clients.

Julia is an accomplished musician. She holds a BA in music performance from Hamline University. Ms. Lundeen is also a seasoned florist, and interior landscape design specialist who at one time worked on the floral staff at the White House during the Clinton administration. Her focus in both lines of work, is to improve quality of life, and to give each client the tools in which to do so. To this end, Ms.Lundeen does accept a limited number of interior landscape design jobs, restricting her work to mostly organic foliage and flowers that improves indoor air quality. Donte Jones

Donte is a graduate of Harvard University with a B.A. in Economics. He discovered his love for fitness while participating in high school and collegiate athletics. Upon graduation, he trained extensively for a career opportunity as a professional football player. A few years later Donte's passion for fitness lead him to becoming a certified personal trainer. He has worked with a variety of cliental such as collegiate athletes, stay at home moms, aspiring models and senior citizens. "Balance in many aspects is the key to a wide range of issues we face in life. It's imperative in an exercise routine to improve any muscular imbalance or weakness and is essential in your diet as well."

 

Jen Hoy

Jen HoyJen Hoy has been a holistic chef for more than 20 years. Educated at the University of California, L"Universita di Padova in Italy, Peter Kump's New York Restaurant School, and most recently, the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, her work encompasses the best of world cuisine combined with conscious support of wellness. Hoy was chef/owner of Miami's highly successful Cuisines of the Sun; her client roster included legendary photographers Bruce Weber, Patrick DeMarchelier and Albert Watson, and publications as diverse as Uomo Vogue, Marie Claire, Elle, Elle Italia, Parents, Paris Vogue and GQ. While in Miami she appeared on a local television program to address diet related health issues for women of color. In New York, Hoy has appeared several times in the Union Square Greenmarket chef series, on local as well as Czech and Japanese television, and, most recently, interviewed for Italian Elle. She has consulted on restaurant projects and is the executive chef and nutritional consultant for Mothers and Menus, a healthy food service for new moms.

Since 2001 she has been the creative force behind Elemental Foods in Chelsea. Hoy's passion and commitment to excellence, as well as her ongoing support of local farmers and organic purveyors make her a significant presence in New York's sustainability education movement. In 2002, Hoy began private practice in intuitive healing and holistic nutritional counseling. She apprenticed under renowned healers Tom Monte, and the head of the Mexihka medicine council, Tzen Tzatzoehetzin. Hoy continues intensive studies in energy medicine, combining ancient traditions from Asia and Latin America. ThirdPower Fitness is proud to have Ms. Hoy as part of our LifePerformance team, in the capacity of in-house nutritionist. She lives in Brooklyn, New York.
